I am a professor and researcher in Artificial Intelligence with over 20 years of experience. My work focuses on Hyperdimensional Computing (HDC), explainable machine learning, and graph-based representations for molecules and polymers. I lead a research project on symbolic reasoning with high-dimensional vectors and the integration of attention mechanisms in graph classification. I am currently Full Professor and Director of the Department of Informatics at Universidad Católica del Uruguay, where I also teach courses on AI, machine learning, Programming and Discrete-Events Simulation. My research combines formal methods with practical applications in materials science, bioinformatics, and data-driven discovery.
